I grew up with a father that was an educator, author, and respected leader in his field of medicine, and I wanted to emulate that in my own career. I am married and have 3 children. I am an avid IU sports fan, and enjoy attending games with my family. I love the outdoors and enjoy skiing, hunting, cycling, running and exploring. I also love to cook and travel.

Why did you decide to go into healthcare?
I come from a family full of doctors and dentists. Going into medicine was very natural, and something I knew I’d get a lot of gratification from. I wanted to perform surgery, and use my hands to help fix people, and improve their quality of life.
Why did you chose to work at HCH?
Henry County is a little hospital with progressive goals. They are interested in continuing their excellence in the development of a superior orthopedic department, and I wanted to be an integral part of that.

I don't think I've ever seen a staff that works so well together. They are knowledgeable, caring and professional. And yes, we like Dr Adams too!! I honestly cannot recommend Dr. Adams enough. I ruptured my Achilles and Dr. Adams took the time to explain everything clearly and make me feel comfortable. I echo other peoples reviews when they say he makes you feel like you actually matter and are his only patient. For many years I have had trouble walking for it would cause pain and sometimes make it unbearable to even stand. I went in to meet Dr Adams and his staff and they were all absolutely incredible. I went in for surgery this past May and can say that I am pretty excited with what the outcomes are going to be. I first met Dr. Adams when I was in the hospital for an infection in my foot. He was so kind and professional, I could tell he cared about helping me. Not just figuring out what was wrong with my foot, not even giving his honest opinion about what would be best for me in my situation, but he also was trying his best to get me to a point where he felt good letting me go as fast as possible so I could go home. I love it everyone in the office is down to earth and compassionate, they are friendly and laugh with me. My foot is getting better it has just taken me a little longer time to heal. Dr. Adams and his staff is very friendly, kind, and very knowledgeable. He was extremely informative before, during, and after my surgery. He was great with my mom at easing her mind and keep her addressed throughout as to what was going on as far as the surgery. He was great informing my roommate as to how to best help take care of me after surgery since my mom had to go back home. He was great at post op appointments by encouraging Me to keep pushing on. Then his nurse practitioner took over care and she was very nice. I’m 12 weeks post op and I’m happy with my progress. I selected Dr Adams for a 5th metatarsal fracture during August of this year. He is a rare combination of medical/surgical talent, being approachable and easy to speak with, and allowing the patient to participate in their care. I believe he allowed enough time to thoroughly understand my specific problem, gave a couple of choices for my care a path to recovery, and ultimately let me participate in the choice that was best for me.
