Pediatric/newborn hospitalist program
HCH’s team of pediatric hospitalists cares for children and newborns admitted to the hospital and provides support services to the emergency department. They work only at the hospital and are available 24/7.
- Pediatric hospitalists have extensive experience managing newborn and pediatric patients
- They will communicate with your child’s primary care provider
- They will provide a hospital summary at discharge to help your child’s primary care provider prepare for follow-up care

Pediatric hospitalists have completed four years of medical school, three years of pediatric residency training, and two years of pediatric hospital medicine training. HCH’s pediatric hospitalists have over 100 years of combined training and experience caring for newborns and children.
