Palliative care
Palliative care is specialized medical care for people living with serious illness, such as cancer, stroke, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Parkinson’s or dementia. This type of care is meant to enhance a person’s current care by focusing on the quality of life for them and their family. If you believe you could be a candidate for palliative care, you must receive a referral from your primary care provider.
